Project Overview

NimbusPost is a premier courier aggregator and dropshipping solutions provider in India, focused on fast, affordable delivery services for e-commerce. ship.nimbuspost.com integrates multiple courier partners and automates shipment workflows to help sellers scale fulfillment across India and globally.

The platform divides responsibilities across technologies: PHP + MySQL power seller-level operations, order and wallet management, while Node.js + MongoDB microservices handle courier API interactions, real-time updates and message-driven processing via RabbitMQ.

Role Overview — Team Lead

As Team Lead I oversaw a cross-functional development team, drove end-to-end project execution, maintained critical integrations with courier partners, and owned technical maintenance and architecture for our shipping and dropship products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearheaded backend development to ensure scalability, reliability and high throughput across logistics workflows.
  • Led developers through sprint planning, code reviews, and release coordination.
  • Designed microservice boundaries: seller ops (PHP/MySQL) vs courier API handling (Node.js/MongoDB).
  • Implemented RabbitMQ for asynchronous jobs: shipment events, retries, and bulk processing.
  • Managed system maintenance, security hardening, and SLAs for courier integrations.
